6th Grade
Ms. Diaz
Hola! My name is Cynthia Diaz. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I am the proud daughter of immigrant parents who taught me the importance of hard work and education. I attended the University of Texas at El Paso an earned a Bachelors in Education with a math specialization. My trek through the world of education began at the tender age of 22 teaching math and engineering to middle school students for 11 years. Later, I received my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lamar University.

Middle school students fill my heart and helping them navigate the harsh waters of
adolescence is my passion. I am beyond excited to work with the students and
collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators of Clint Small Middle School .
My hope is to serve as a voice and agent of change for them. My goal that all students
transition smoothly into high school with all of the tools taught to them via SEL lessons,
Guidance Lessons, groups, individual counseling, AVID and in the general classroom setting.
